For years, secondary and higher secondary students in Nepal struggled with fragmented grading guidelines, shifting GPA criteria, and unreliable date conversions between the traditional Bikram Sambat (BS) calendar and the international Gregorian (AD) calendar.
When the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) and Curriculum Development Centre (CDC) introduced the landmark Letter Grading Directive 2078 BS with strict 35% theory cutoffs and "Non-Graded" (NG) categories, students needed transparent, mathematically accurate tools to evaluate their academic standing.
