The primary feature of MeroGurukul is our suite of academic calculators, including the SEE GPA Calculator, NEB GPA Calculator, BS to AD Converter, and Age Calculator.
All mathematical calculations, marks evaluations, and calendar conversions execute 100% locally in your client device's web browser using Vanilla JavaScript. Your subject marks, exam grades, personal dates of birth, and attendance counts are never transmitted to, processed by, or stored on our web servers or third-party storage databases.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not require user accounts, passwords, or personal profile sign-ups to use any calculator.
- We do not ask for or collect citizenship numbers, school roll numbers, or government ID data.
- We do not track or store individual calculation histories on our backend.
3. Local Storage & Cookies
MeroGurukul uses standard browser localStorage solely for convenience features such as:
- Dark Mode Preference: Storing whether you prefer dark or light mode (
mg_tools_theme). - Scientific Calculator History: Retaining your recent session calculations locally so you can click to reload them during a study session.
This data remains strictly on your local browser and can be wiped at any time by clearing your browser cache or site data.
4. Third-Party Services & Future Advertising
To keep our educational tools free for all Nepali students, MeroGurukul may display non-intrusive advertisements (such as Google AdSense) in designated banner slots. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to our website or other sites on the Internet.
Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
5. Log Files & Standard Telemetry
Like virtually all standard web servers, our hosting infrastructure may record routine server access logs containing internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamps, and referring/exit pages. These logs are non-personally identifiable and are utilized exclusively for server performance monitoring, DDoS mitigation, and system health maintenance.
